Silver hairpin made from 18th century Bible lock

Heavy and solid silver hairpin, closing with a silver pin.

The hairpin is made from an 18th century Bible lock with images of Moses with the stone tablets and the evangelist Matthew with the angel.

Dating: end of the 18th century.

The pin and serrated edge were added later by the Niekerk company from Schoonhoven, the master hallmark crown N10 was used from 1970 to 1997.

The awl is also marked with a sword.
