Silver buckle, Gebr. G. and D. Wendels, Middelburg, 1854

Cast Zeeland silver shoe buckle made by the Brothers G. and D. Wendels from Middelburg. The hallmark was used between 1849 and 1857.

This is a large buckle with the following dimensions: 7.5 x 9 cm.

The buckle is hallmarked with master hallmark GBW83, Minerva head, second fineness hallmark and date letter U for 1854. Both the buckle and the lock plate are fully hallmarked.

The buckle is in good condition.
