Silver occasional spoon made by silversmith S. Bolman from Leeuwarden. This hallmark was used from 1885.

The spoon is marked with the second grade hallmark, Minerva head, year letter m for 1897 and master hallmark SB3.

The spoon is crowned with a mill. The bowl is attached to the handle by means of a rat-tail joint.

The box is engraved with: Gift as a commissioner of the Welsrijper Polder, GD Meijer 1897

The mill stood 300 m north of the church and was the mill of the Tjepperbuurt polder. The mill was operated by the same family from 1886 to at least 1931.

In 1923, the Welsrijperpolder was founded, which took over the mill. In 1940, the name of the polder was changed from Tsjeppenbur to Welsrijperpolder, covering 220 ha.

In 1954 the mill, which was still in reasonable condition, was demolished. The double-occupied miller's house still exists, and the spindle and uprights of the mill lie (2006) on the property of Sibbele Jorna in Dronrijp.

Weight: 62.5 grams. Length: 22.5 cm
