Silver birth spoon, JP Fennema / Bolsward, 19th century

Silver birth spoon from the silversmith JP Fennema from Bolsward. He used this master's mark from 1837 to 1848.

The birth spoon is marked with second quality mark, master mark JF67, minerva head and the year letter O of 1848.

The spoon has a length of 20 cm and is beautifully decorated with a cobblestone and a rosette on the handle.
The spoon is crowned with the lady who was also on the guilder at the time. With the hat of independence and the Word as a guide to life.

The inscription on the container reads: Thijs Douwes Bruinsma, born June 24, 1882
