Silver fruit bowl, Koch & Bergfeld, Bremen, 19th century

Handmade silver fruit bowl decorated with beautiful ornaments. Made by the well-known firm Koch & Bergfeld from Bremen, active since 1859.

The fruit bowl dates from the end of the 19th century.

Hallmarked with master hallmark scale and 800 for 3rd grade silver. Further hallmarked with the tax hallmark V for large foreign works. Used between 1853 and 1893.

Beautiful example of German silversmithing.
