Silver Frisian Chatelaine, including A. Heerkes, Bolsward, 1646

Frisian chatelaine consisting of scissors, pincushion and needle case. The skirt hook is made by Anne Heerkes (Voet 314) from Bolsward. Active from 1617 to ca. 1675.

Anne Heerkes died in 1680. He was mayor and recipient of the florin during his lifetime. (gravestone Martinikerk)

The skirt hook is 17th century, the scissors 18th century and the needle case 19th century.

The museum skirt hook is sawn out and decorated with a four-leaf clover. The skirt hook bears the name Iel Tierdts, with the date D. 1646.

The hook is marked with the master's mark AH in each other with 4 points. The needle case is marked with the sword for 2nd grade silver. The scissors are unmarked.

The scissors are provided with a dotted engraving 14.

All parts hang on jasseron chains.

A connection between the skirt hook and the ring is tied together with a string.
