Silver Frisian ear iron, 1901

Frisian silver ear iron with two silver book pieces.

The ear iron is marked with the second grade hallmark, year letter R for 1901 and the Minerva head.

Both books are hallmarked with the letter M and a flower figure for Zilversmederij J. H van der Meulen & Zn bv from Joure

The ear iron has some signs of use and the chain at the top is loose.
