Silver photo frame of bag bracket with Keeshond, 18th century

Silver photo frame made from a silver bag bracket. In the middle a female figure with a Keeshond.

The original bag bracket probably dates from the end of the 18th century. At that time, the Keeshond was regularly depicted as a symbol of the patriots. One of the high-ranking people among the patriots was Kees de Gijselaar from Dordrecht and because of his name the patriots were called 'kezen'.

The frame has been marked with an unclear master mark, circle with a dot in the middle.

Dating approximately 1780-1800.
