Silver chatelaine, the bag hook of which was made by silversmith C. Hoogendoorn from Schoonhoven. He worked from 1861 to 1879. The scissors are by silversmith L. van Gelderen from Schoonhoven. He worked from 1837 to 1873.

We can date the chatelaine between 1861 and 1873.

The chatelaine consists of a skirt hook, scissors, needle case (including pins) and pincushion.

Everything has been individually hallmarked. The skirt hook has been hallmarked with the maker's mark CH109 and the second standard hallmark, the scissors have been hallmarked with the maker's mark LG24 and the sword. The needle case has been hallmarked with a difficult-to-read maker's mark, and the pincushion has no hallmarks.

The chatelaine is in good condition. The needle case is difficult to open.
