A silver cabaret (tray on legs) made by the silversmith Sebastiaan Gijsbertus de Mare from Utrecht. He was active from 1777 to 1809.
The cabaret, provided with an openwork edge, is hallmarked with various hallmarks. The city hallmark of Utrecht, Dutch lion, master mark of a deer and date letter N for 1796.
The cabaret also features a touch zone.
This is heavy and solid work.
There is a small crack in the edge, otherwise the cabaret is in good condition.
Not much work is offered from his hand.
