Frisian silver brandy bowl with embossed decoration of a farm scene.
Made by silversmith Pieter Schmidt from Leeuwarden. This silversmith worked from 1812 to 1846.
The brandy bowl is provided with a master mark (PS), Minerva cup, second fineness mark and year letter H for 1817.
The handles feature a female figure with an anchor and a bird together symbolizing an unforced faith. Anchor stands for hope, the bird stands for supernatural freedom.
In excellent condition.
