Silver card holder or purse with several storage compartments on the inside that are partly lockable.
The purse was made by John Gilbert, who worked in Birmingham from 1868.
Marked with master hallmark JG, city hallmark anchor of Birmingham, year letter n for 1887 and walking lion for sterling silver. Finally inspected with re-inspection Z1 and illegible mark.
The silver purse can be worn on the skirt or chatelaine.
