Silver purse with skirt hook made by the silversmith H. van Assen from Leeuwarden. He was active between 1830 and 1875.
The silver bracket is provided with a cloth bag that was added later. A sturdy jasseron chain is connected to the bracket to a skirt hook.
The skirt hook is marked with the sword for 2nd grade silver, the bracket is marked with master mark VA, year letter H for 1842, second grade mark and the Minerva head.
The hook of the skirt hook is slightly damaged. See also the photo.
