18th century silver bow bag in good condition. The bracket has been inspected with the master's mark for Jan Swerus Glasouw from Amsterdam. He lived from 1742 to 1801.
He was a brother of Christiaan Glasouw and became a silversmith in 1760.
The bag bracket has been hallmarked with its master hallmark ISG with a pipe, city hallmark of Amsterdam with year letter Q (1775 or 1799) and a tax hallmark.
The silver bracket is cast and therefore heavy and solid. A jasseron chain is attached to the bracket. The embroidered bag with flower decor is also still in good condition.
The bracket depicts woman and man figures in empire style.
