19th Century silver bracelet made from a Bible lock.
The Bible lock was made at the time by R. Heyema from Sneek. He worked from 1820 to 1833.
Approved with the second quality mark. The center piece has an inscription: 1827.
The centerpiece depicts a female figure with a staff and book. This stands for wisdom. The stick was the symbol for the earthly pilgrimage and the book stands for study and wisdom.
Putti's are depicted on both sides. Apparently also with a book and the horn of plenty.
