Victorian silver pill box made by the Birmingham silversmith H. Matthews, active from 1893.

The heart-shaped pill box with gilded interior has 3 angels and two male figures in a beautifully chased decor as a lid decoration.

The box is marked with a master's hallmark: HM, city hallmark anchor of Birmingham, walking lion for sterling silver and year letter g for 1906.
