Psalm book with silver lock, KJ Kanninga / Drachten, 19th century

18th Century psalms and hymns collection printed by Johannes Enschede and sons from 1775.

The silver Bible lock in Biedermeier style was made by KJ Kanninga (KK33) from Drachten. He used this hallmark from 1865 to 1873.

The silver clasp is hallmarked with the second grade mark, master mark, miner's head and year letter h for 1867.

The front page contains a written text from the de Boer family.

The initials TJP and the year 1868 are engraved on the inside of the lock.

The bundle is more than 100 years older than the silver lock.
