Knife with silver handle, LS Hoornstra, Kollum, 18th century

^18th Century silver knife with band decoration (curl and leaf motifs) and a dog (sign of loyalty) as a crowning achievement.

The knife has been marked with the master mark LH, which stands for Lykele Stevens Hoornstra (317) from Kollum. Born in 1706 and master from 1728. In 1743 he left for Heerenveen.

The steel blade with the image of F. Herder is original and belongs to the original knife handle. The initials BW are on the knife.

The knife is in used, but good condition.
