Knife with silver handle, JK Smedema / Dokkum (?), 18th century.

^18th century silver knife handle with band decoration of bunches of grapes and leaves. Equipped with a newer blade from AH Becker from Groningen.

The handle has been re-inspected with Z11 for second grade silver. There is also a worn master mark to be discovered. If I may make an attempt, it could be Jippe Klases Smedema (Foot 384) from Dokkum. He worked from 1781 to 1790.

The length of the knife is: 31 cm. Weight: 142.3 grams.
