Crystal carafe with silver fittings FG de Groot, Rotterdam, ca. 1875

Beautiful crystal decanter with silver fittings made by silversmith Franciscus Godefridus de G root from Rotterdam, active from 1851. He died in 1882.

The silver fittings are decorated with embossed flowers.

The silver is marked with master mark G compass, 3 and the sword.

The glass dome has a few frits, otherwise in good condition.

Suitable for water or whisky, for example.
