Necklace with 2 strands of jet with a diameter of approx. 5 mm strung on silver wire.
The chain has a ball lock and a large silver lock with a diameter of 2.3 cm. This lock has been made into a pendant, but could be used again as a lock. Three pendants are connected to the lock.
The silver ball lock is marked with the sword as content mark and master mark JP> for JB van de Pauw from Schoonhoven, active from 1919 to 1925. The lock that functions as a pendant is marked with the city mark of Amsterdam and the sword 835 for 2nd content silver.
It is probably a mourning necklace worn with the traditional costume of the Northern Netherlands.
