Garnet necklace with beautiful 18 carat gold clasp. Flowers are depicted on the clasp.
The gold lock is hallmarked with the lion for 18 carat gold. This hallmark was used between 1814 and 1905. Also hallmarked with master hallmark IDL for Jan de Leeuw from Goes. Active from 1813 to 1845.
Strung on black thread.
Length of the chain: 36 cm when closed.
The lock has some signs of use, but closes and opens fine.
The necklace has been re-strung, making it perfectly wearable.
The clasp measures 2.3 x 2.3 cm. Bead diameter: 5 mm.
