Gold/silver mourning pins, Zeeland costume, 19th century

Gold antique mourning pins with silver pin. The top of the pin consists of a jet in a gold frame.

These mourning pins or hair pins were worn with the (Zeeland) traditional costume in the Netherlands.

The mourning pins were placed right next to the books/buttons at the top of the ear iron.

Dating ca. 1880 - 1900.

Hallmarked with the Dutch oak leaf for 14 carat gold, sword for 2nd grade silver and a difficult to read master hallmark (LP?).

Weight: 5.2 grams. Length: 6.5 cm. Diameter head: 1.1 cm.
