Frisian silver knife handle with embossed decoration, 18th century

Frisian silver knife from the end of the 18th ^century century. The knife is beautifully embossed with two female figures and two bird figures surrounded by curly motifs.

The knife had a rider on horseback as a crowning glory. Unfortunately, this is missing. The steel blade was replaced later and as a result the knife can still be used perfectly well today.

The knife is marked with an unknown master mark.

Dating: ca. 1790-1800.
