The Bible has two ^19th century silver clasps in Biedermeier style.

The silver locks are hallmarked with the second quality hallmark and minerva head.

The silver locks were made by ST Reitsma from Lemmer / Sneek, active since 1841.

The locks are therefore considerably older than the Bible.
