19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son and P. Proost in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1861.
The Bible has 2 silver locks in Biedermeier style.
The Bible was made by SF Reitsma (R10) from Heerenveen. This silversmith worked from 1859 to 1892.
The silver clasps are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, minerva head and year letter o for 1873.
The year 1885 and the initials HJD are engraved on the inside of the locks.
The Bible contains family chronicles from 1874 onwards.
