19th Century Bible with the New Testament, J. Brandt and son, inherited Wed. FG under the Linden in Haarlem. J. Enschede & Son from 1832. The psalms date from 1835.
The silver locks were made by Pieter Lobensteijn, (PL44) from Schoonhoven, who worked from 1837 to 1859.
The locks are hallmarked with the second quality mark, minerva head and year letter k for 1844. One lock is missing part of the ornament on the front.
