Bible with silver clasps, PG Petersen, Amsterdam, 1693 / 1815

Rare 17th century Pieter Keur bible (new testament in small version) with attached two silver locks of later date. The bible dates from 1693.

The Bible features beautiful copper engravings.

The Bible locks were made by PG Petersen from Amsterdam. He worked from 1812 to 1846.

The silver clasp is marked with the master mark PP, second grade mark, Minerva head and date letter F for 1815.
