19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, P. den Hengst and son, the Erven Wed. FG onder de Linden in Haarlem at Johannes Enschede and sons from 1818. The Bible is provided with beautiful copper engravings.
This Bible has two silver locks. The name LJ de Vries and the year 1864 are engraved on the inside.
The Bible locks were made by Jacobus van Dam from Schoonhoven. He worked from 1849 to 1888.
The silver clasp is marked with the master hallmark AD81, second grade hallmark, Minerva head and date letter c for 1862.
The Bible is in very good condition with a new linen cover.
