Bible with silver locks, J. van Geelen / Gouda (?), 18th century

Antique Bible with silver locks. The publisher is: J. Bouwer and Wed. J. Ratelband, from 1791.

The locks have probably been hallmarked with the master hallmark fleur-de-lis by Johannes van Geelen, from Gouda, who worked from 1695-1739.

The locks are older than the Bible. No further inspections available.

The Bible has a silver carrying chain. The leather is punched with clover signs on the back.

Slightly loose in the cover and a few pages half loose, otherwise in good, used condition
