19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, P. den Hengst and Son, the heirs Wed. FG under the Linden in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1818.
The Bible has 2 silver locks in empire style.
The Bible has beautiful engravings.
The silver clasps are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, miner's head and year letter Z for 1834.
The silver locks were made by JP Paulides (JP12) from Heerenveen. He worked from 1825 to 1837.
The name Engeltje H. Zwaagstra and the year 1855 are engraved on the inside of the locks.
The Bible is in used condition, the book block has become somewhat loose from the spine. See also the photos.
