19th-century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, P. den Hengst and son, the heirs of the widow FG onder de Linden in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons, from 1818.
The silver locks were made by JP Paulides (JP12) from Heerenveen. He worked from 1825 to 1837.
The Bible features beautiful engravings.
The silver locks are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, Minerva head and date letter Z for 1834.
The name Engeltje H. Zwaagstra and the year 1855 are engraved on the inside of the locks.
The Bible is in used condition, with the book block slightly detached from the spine. See the photos for details.
