The Bible has 2 silver locks in Biedermeier style.
The silver locks are hallmarked with the second quality hallmark, miner's head from Schoonhoven and year letter p for 1874.
The silver locks were made by J. Kooiman from Schoonhoven. Active from 1860 to 1893.
The initials GTB and the year 1874 are engraved on the inside of the locks.
The lower bracket has a break at the attachment to the connecting piece. (This cannot be seen when closed).
