Bible with silver clasps, G. van Ewijck / Schoonhoven, 19th century

19th Century Bible (new testament, psalms and hymns) from the publisher: Brothers CA Thieme and JF Thieme from Arnhem and Nijmegen from 1839.

The silver locks were made by G. van Ewijck from Schoonhoven (E50). He used this hallmark from 1836 to 1865.

The shell-shaped locks are marked with the second quality mark, master mark, minerva head and year letter o for 1848.

The names of the Blokland family are written on the front page and a back page.
