19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, P. den Hengst and son, de Erven Wed. FG under the Linden in Haarlem with Johannes Enschede and sons from 1822.
This robust Bible has two silver locks and 4 silver corner pieces. The initials GGH and the year 1834 are engraved on the inside.
The Bible locks and corner pieces were made by E. Wientjes (W26) from Ootmarsum. He worked from 1826 to 1856. See the blog on this website for a more detailed explanation.
The silver clasp is hallmarked with the master hallmark, second grade hallmark, miner's head and year letter W for 1831.
On the 1st page there is written text from the Fam. Geerling.
