Bible with silver locks and corner pieces, AJ Nobel / Schoonhoven, 1882

19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1878.

The Bible has 2 silver clasps and 8 silver corner pieces in Biedermeier style.

The Bible locks and corner pieces were made by AJ Nobel (N99) from Schoonhoven. Active from 1872 to 1892.

The silver clasps are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, minerva head and year letter x for 1882.

The front (cover) is loose. This was temporarily remedied with a piece of tape. Furthermore, the Bible is in used condition, see also the photos.
