Bible with silver locks, DH Weissich / Middelburg, 19th century

19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1878

The Bible has 2 silver locks in Empire style.

The Bible locks were made by DH Weissich from Middelburg. He worked from 1815 to 1828.

The silver clasps are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, minerva head and year letter N for 1822.

One of the silver attachments has broken loose from the cleat. It does stick together.
