18th century Bible with the old and new testament, Joh: Enschede and son, Haarlem from 1791. The psalms date from 1789. The Bible has beautiful engravings.
An Empire style pot is depicted on the silver muteers, attachments and cleats.
The silver locks are marked WD, which stands for the silversmith C. Wendels from Middelburg, who worked from 1828 to 1849.
Furthermore, they are hallmarked with a second quality mark, Minerva head and year letter F for 1840.
The Bible was cut off a little too much on the side when binding.
