The Bible has 2 silver locks in Biedermeier style. The initials MAK and the year 1860 are engraved on the inside.
The Bible locks were made by A. Kooiman from Schoonhoven, he worked from 1837 to 1860.
The silver clasps are hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, minerva head and year letter w for 1856.
The second page is written with family chronicles.
The Bible contains a note describing all owners (Fam. Kinderman/Fam Veenstra) of the Bible.
