19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, the heirs Wed. FG Onder den Linden, N de Gijselaar PZ and P. Proost in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1818.
The silver Bible lock in a simple, sleek style was made by Wed. MH Merkelbach from Harlingen (WM134). She worked from 1839 to 1849.
The silver clasp is marked with the second grade mark, master mark, miner's head and year letter I for 1843.
The initials TDT and the year 1844 are engraved on the inside of the cleat.
The Bible contains extensive family chronicles of the Fam. Van de Witte and de Fam. From Popta. The Bible also contains old clippings.
The Bible is in used condition, some pages are loose. See also the photos.
