Bible with silver lock, SF Reitsma from Heerenveen, 19th century

^19th Century Bible from the publishing house: J. Brand en Zoon in Haarlem from 1881.

The Bible has been rebound and the lock has been professionally cleaned. This makes the Bible in excellent condition.

The silver lock was made by SF Reitsma (10R) from Heerenveen. Active from 1859 to 1892.

The lock is further hallmarked with the second quality mark, Minerva head and year letter C of 1887.

The cleat is engraved with 1888 GK / HJ.
