19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, and P. Proost in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1855.
The silver Bible lock in Empire style was made by Rein Sipkes Zijlstra (DZ10) from Drachten. He worked from 1826 to 1835.
The silver clasp is hallmarked with the second grade mark, master mark, miner's head and year letter x for 1832.
The initials EP and the year 1862 are engraved on the inside of the cleat.
The Bible contains a page with family chronicles of the Fam. Berendjans (?) and Fam. Nijhof.
