19th Century Bible (New Testament + Psalms) from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, and P. Proost in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1861.
The silver Bible lock in Biedermeier style was made by P. Rienstra from Sneek (PR8). He used this hallmark from 1826 to 1844.
The silver lock is hallmarked with the second grade mark, master mark, sword, Minerva head and year letter D for 1838.
The year 1826 is engraved on the inside of the cleat.
The Bible is in excellent condition, but is missing a page at the beginning. See also the photos.
