19th Century Bible (new testament + psalms and hymns) from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son, in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1874.
The silver Bible lock was made possible by Meindert Bartel, from Franeker / Leeuwarden. He worked from 1812 to 1847.
The silver lock is hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, master hallmark, miner's head and year letter S for 1827.
The initials HR and the year 1824 are engraved on the inside of the cleat.
