Bible with silver lock, JC van de Ree / Schoonhoven, 20th century

19th Century Bible from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1875.

The silver Bible lock in Biedermeier style was made by JC van de Ree from Schoonhoven (*DR*). He used this hallmark from 1907 to 1926.

The silver clasp is hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, master hallmark, miner's head and year letter x for 1907.

The initials CS are engraved on the inside of the cleat.
