19th Century Bible (New Testament, Psalms and Hymns) from the publisher: Dutch Bible Company in Amsterdam, J. Brandt and son in Haarlem, Johannes Enschede and sons from 1878. The silver lock was made by C. Wendels from Middelburg. He used this hallmark between 1828 and 1849.
The silver clasp is marked with master mark WD, Minerva head and date letter P for 1849.
The mutineer shows the evangelist Luke with an ox next to him. The attachment is provided with the evangelist John with an eagle. The clamp arm has the image of David playing the harp. (rare image)
The cover is in neat condition and provided with black velvet.
