18th Century Bible from the publisher: NT Gravius, J. Brandt, FG onder de Linden and P. den Hengst in Amsterdam, 1791.
The silver Bible lock in Biedermeier style is hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, minerva head and year letter G (?) for 1891. There is no master hallmark present.
The mute and the attachment are attached to the cover by means of a nail. They do not clamp to the other side of the cover. It can be seen that there used to be two locks on the Bible.
The Bible is considerably older than the lock. (Saves 100 years)
