Antique silver trouser pieces, Zeeland regional costume, Walcheren, 1902

Very beautiful antique silver trouser pieces , worn as part of the Zeeland regional costume from Walcheren . These characteristic silver clothing accessories were an important and visible part of traditional men's costume in Zeeland and are now beloved collector's items within the Dutch cultural heritage.

The trouser pieces are richly decorated with a engraved edge , surrounded by a cable edge , and on the Front side with a coat of arms image . On the back they are connected by an elliptical ring , as is common with this type of regional costume jewellery.

The pieces are authentically hallmarked with several Dutch silver hallmarks, including:
