Silver spoon, R. Helweg, Civic Community of Amsterdam, 1782

^18th century silver spoon with a rat tail joint. Hallmarked with the master mark of Roelof Helweg, active from 1776 to 1811.

Also marked with date letter, city mark of Amsterdam and lion with crown. Provided with the inscription: Burger Gemeen Schap 1782. The spoon has a small crack (8 mm) and some dents in the bowl.

Weight 38 grams. Length 19.5 cm.
